Today is Palm Sunday, the Sunday before Easter. It is the day of the Triumphal Entry of Jesus into Jerusalem before his Passion. Jesus rode a colt (or a donkey) into Jerusalem. (The colt/donkey symbolizes his peaceful message) The people there lay down their cloaks in front of him, and also lay down small branches of palm trees, as a sign of honour and victory.
